Sign up for outage alerts with your electric provider before a winter storm hits. That way you get notified automatically if your power goes out or comes back on — without having to keep checking.

Details

Depending on where you live in the Austin area, your provider may be Austin Energy, Bluebonnet Electric, or Pedernales Electric Cooperative. Each has its own outage reporting and alert sign-up. Austin Energy also has a live outage map at outagemap.austinenergy.com so you can see what areas are affected in real time.

To report a downed power line to Austin Energy, call 512-322-9100.
